Malin Akerman will romance Tom Cruise after joining the star-studded cast of the upcoming Rock Of Ages musical.
The Watchmen star will play the reporter role both Anne Hathaway and Amy Adams were allegedly offered in the movie adaptation of the hit stage show.
Akerman's character will fall for Cruise's rock star Stacee Jaxx after interviewing him.
The film starts shooting in Miami, Florida later this month, with Alec Baldwin, Julianne Hough, Mary J. Blige and Paul Giamatti among the cast.
Newcomer Diego Boneta has landed the leading man role.
