This Thanksgiving while you are cooking get the kids into the kitchen to help you. Depending on their ages there are plenty of things that they can help you do. Some of the things include:
- peeling potatoes
- mixing,?stirring
- making cookies
- setting the table
- cleaning up as you go for you
- doing dishes
- cleaning up the table
- putting the rolls onto the pan or onto the plate
There are plenty more and I sure you can come up with dozens depending on what you need done. The important thing is to get them to help not only before the dinner but also to help with the cleaning up after dinner. Make it as fun as you can by allowing them to find the wishbone after dinner and make a wish. Maybe have a special small gift for anyone who helps clean up or allow whoever helps to sleep longer then next morning.
Maybe make a simple chart and allow them to choose the things they are willing to do and what you require them to do. Whatever you decide I hope that you have a safe and happy holiday with your family and that you take some time to show your children the joy of cooking.
