To stay centered as we remember?It is a question that I thought many times through my travels in this dance. Let's start with our first foundation stone "emotion".
Our emotional state like a yo-yo-vary. There were many students who have gone into my office and took their questions and problems on the dance floor. Chelsea accept Malaysia's Benayoun apology (AFP)
HONG KONG (AFP) ? Chelsea have accepted an apology from the Football Association of Malaysia over anti-Semitic abuse that targeted Israeli midfielder Yossi Benayoun during a pre-season match.
The London club had lodged an official complaint after Benayoun was barracked during a game in Kuala Lumpur on July 21, the first leg of Chelsea's Asian tour.
Chelsea initially played down the incident but went ahead with its complaint after reviewing the game. The club, which has since played games in Bangkok and Hong Kong without incident, said it is now happy to move on.
"We appreciate the prompt attention the Malaysian FA has given our complaint," it said in a statement.
"Chelsea Football Club is committed to eradicating all discriminatory behaviour from the game, and urges the MFA to take appropriate steps to stamp out this type of behaviour in future.
"The club and Yossi accept the apology, and the matter is now closed."
The Malaysian FA on Friday released a qualified apology to Chelsea and the player for conduct it said came from a small disruptive section of fans.
"The FA of Malaysia would like to strongly register that we do not condone any form of racism in football," it said.
"If such an incident did happen, we would like to apologise to the player concerned, and also to Chelsea FC."
The midfielder was booed and jeered whenever he touched the ball in during the 1-0 win against a Malaysia XI in the capital.
Benayoun was the first Israeli to play in Malaysia, which strongly supports the Palestinians and does not recognise Israel, maintaining no diplomatic ties with the country. Some 60 percent of Malaysia's population is Muslim.

In a media briefing here today, Zulkefli said international business tourism visitors spent an average of RM7,418 per trip in Malaysia compared with RM2,257 for leisure visitors.
International business travellers also spent an average of RM1,268 per day compared with RM337 for other travellers.
MyCEB was established by the Ministry of Tourism in 2009 to further strengthen Malaysia?s business tourism brand and position for the international meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions (MICE) market.
Zulkefli said 1,278,014 international business travellers visited Malaysia in 2010, an increase of two per cent from 2009.
They were estimated to have spent RM10.6 billion in 2010 and the economic impact value of their spending was estimated at RM17.6 billion, he said.
Given that the average length of international conventions is 3.9 days, the length of stay for international business tourism visitors including pre- and post-touring is 5.85 days.
An estimated 46 per cent of international delegates extend their stay for pre and post travel providing benefits to regional communities and that an estimated 25 per cent of all international participants have an accompanying partner or spouse with them.
Last year, Malaysia leapt three notches to 28th position in the latest International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) country rankings and the government is pushing for the country to be one of the top five destinations in the world by 2020.
In 2010, MyCEB supported 28 convention bids representing 38,500 delegates and an economic value of RM438 million. It also assisted 124 meetings and conventions, 16 exhibitions and 49 corporate incentive groups, which contributed an estimated economic impact of RM775 million to the country.
Zulkefli said the latest ICCA rankings reflected growth by Malaysia?s association meetings business amidst competition from other countries.
Key developments include the expansion of the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre by an additional 10,000 sq metres by end-2013, the Penang International Convention and Exhibition Centre by 2014 and the proposed development of the MATRADE Centre (93,000 sq metres) by 2014.
Other new infrastructure to support the growing industry include the upcoming Kuala Lumpur International Airport, the integrated urban mass rapid transit system and the construction of a series of pedestrian walkways throughout the capital city as part of the Greater Kuala Lumpur plan.

Fox sets new window for TV shows online (Reuters)
(Reuters) ? Fox Networks said it would provide cable and satellite subscribers an exclusive 8-day window to watch new episodes of Fox shows like "Glee" online following their initial air-dates.
The NewsCorp unit said beginning August 15 new episodes of Fox shows will no longer be available to watch for free on Fox.com or video site Hulu until eight days after they debut.
To watch these episodes before that, viewers will need to prove they subscribe to a participating TV service, or watch through Hulu's paid service. Programs will be available to paying viewers a day after the initial-airing date.
The move comes at a time when major TV networks consider reining in free offerings online that could undermine their advertising and subscription businesses.
Fox said Dish Network will be the first operator to offer this service. Fox said it was in discussions with other pay-TV distributors.
Fox did not reveal the terms of subscription for the service.

'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows -- Part 2' Shatters Box Office Records
It certainly was a magical weekend for Harry Potter fans. The beloved boy-wizard franchise's final installment, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows -- Part 2, opened worldwide to rave reviews and sold-out showings. There were so many sold-out shows, in fact, that the film smashed numerous box-office records, scoring the best midnight debut ever ($43.5 million), highest-grossing opening day ($92.1 million) and the sought-after crown of highest-grossing opening weekend of all time!
Potter raked in $168.6 million domestically from Friday to Sunday, breaking the previous mark of $158.4 million, set by The Dark Knight in summer 2008. Meanwhile, in the coveted overseas market, Potter grossed $307 million in 59 countries, an astonishing number that -- you guessed it! -- makes Potter the largest foreign opening of all time.
In addition to being the biggest opening day ever, the film's $92.1 million in the U.S. on Friday is the largest single-day tally in movie history -- but ticket sales dropped precipitously on Saturday to $42.9 million. Although that's the steepest Friday-to-Saturday plunge ever for a movie opening in more than 2,000 theaters (another record!), that was to be expected, as Potterheads were clearly eager to see the movie the moment it opened.
The IMAX and 3-D figures for the film's opening are also interesting. The large-screen company IMAX reported that the movie grossed a record $15.5 million on its screens, suggesting that moviegoers were specifically choosing to see the film in as big and loud a manner as possible. The 3-D numbers are not as encouraging. Only 43 percent of the movie's earnings came from 3-D theatres in the United States, hinting that America's love affair with the three-dimensional formant may be on the wane. Overseas, however, a healthy 61 percent of the film's earnings came from 3-D showings.
Combine the domestic tally with the overseas numbers, and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows -- Part 2 grossed a staggering $475.6 million worldwide in its opening weekend, crushing the previous record of $394 million set by another film in the franchise, 2009's Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
Famed movie critic Roger Ebert gave the film 3.5 stars (the highest possible rating being 4 stars). And, after praising the film in its entirety, Ebert writes, "These films will be around for a long time. And without spoiling a single thing, let me just observe that the final scene clearly leaves an opening for a sequel. I know, Rowling says there won't be one. Just sayin'."

Well my friends, I thought it was time to give you an update on where we are with Adoption #2.?? A lot has happened in the past several weeks.? As many of you know, it's been three years in the making since we started our paperwork for our second adoption. Just a little recap for those of you who are new to my blog, we have been working like crazy the past 7 weeks trying to complete a new homestudy (our 3rd homestudy in three years...argh!!!) with the hopes of being considered as the forever family for two little sisters who are currently in foster care in East Texas. The oldest is 2.5 years old and the baby is 12 months--the most precious girls.? You can read a little more about this endeavor here and here.
Since my last update and almost 8 weeks after meeting the the girls in person, we were able to complete the homestudy through our agency. This particular homestudy differs from our other two we've completed in that it is specifically for a state adoption through CPS. It has been a nerve-wracking experience from start to finish trying to complete the paperwork, classes and homestudy because we are navigating waters we have never been on before. Our first adoption was through a private agency for an infant adoption.? With this particular homestudy, we have been working like mad trying to meet a deadline. We were told in May by the adoption unit coordinator (the committee who will be determining the placement of the girls) that we needed our homestudy completed and submitted by July 1st if we wanted to be considered as their parents. After submitting our homestudy, the committee will then review all the homestudies that were submitted by other hopeful families and narrow it down to 2-3 families for a final decision regarding the adoption placement.
After several scheduled visits and? lengthy interviews by a state caseworker, our homestudy was finally completed in mid-June. On the day that it was to be submitted electronically to the girl's caseworker and the adoption unit, we received a phone call early that morning from our agency notifying us that there was a problem.? There was required documentation missing from our adoption file and without it, they would not be able to submit our homestudy in time for the deadline. Our adoption agency had failed to notice in our file that we needed an updated criminal background check from Virginia. We were devastated when we initially got this news. We knew it typically takes about 14 business days to get a background check submitted and received back from out of state. We had already been through this process when we moved back to Texas and transferred our adoption file from Virginia to Texas.? We were required back then in 2009 to have a criminal background check in Virginia. The forms were included in our file from 2009. What the agency failed to tell us is if you have lived out of state within five years, the background checks have to be re-done annually and resubmitted to the adoption file (even if you have never re-inhabited the state during that five year period...really stupid policy if you ask me).?
When we got the news that morning about this mistake, I literally just fell apart in the car. We were on the road (2 hours down the road from home) heading to Wimberley for our camping trip. ? I don't know when I have sobbed and cried that hard.? Poor Noah was sitting in his carseat in the car and watching me as the tears just flowed.? He kept telling me, "Mommy, it will be okay.? I love you."? I tried to hold back the tears for his sake, but I just couldn't.? I was convinced our chances of being considered by the adoption committee were over now--there was just no way we could get the background checks back in time.? But I was wrong.?
Jody and the Director at our adoption agency immediately began brainstorming that morning over the phone and figured out a plan to quickly resolve the issue. To make a long story short, the Director was able to talk to a supervisor in the Virginia state office where background checks occur and had them fax the forms to us. We stopped at an attorney's office at a small town en route to our camping trip, signed the forms, the attorney had them notarized and we then drove to the next small town where we could overnight the forms to Virginia. We were told to include a Fed Ex envelope in the package and they would expedite the background check and Fed Ex them back to our Adoption agency by the end of the week.? The background forms made it back within the week (just as promised) and our homestudy was mailed off in time.??
And now all we can do is wait.? The waiting continues to be the hardest part for me.? The adoption agency emailed us earlier this week wanting to know if we'd like them to send our homestudy off for any other children who match our profile, but we've asked them to hold off .? We really feel in our hearts that the right thing to do is to wait and see what happens with the girls. To see if we are picked as their adoptive parents.? We did get word last week that a foster family that had the baby in their care for a few months has formally expressed their interest in adopting the girls.? This was somewhat disappointing news for us because they may have legal standing.? Our agency informed us that the adoption unit will have to investigate this couple and see if they do in fact have legal standing.
Every day I look at their sweet little faces in the pictures I have and say a little prayer....a prayer that if it's all possible, if it's what is in the best interest of the girls and our family, that we might be allowed to adopt them and welcome their sweet little spirits into our home and family soon.? Jody and I are at a stage in this adoption journey of ours where we have a greater faith? and a deeper understanding that if this is God's will, all will work out the way it is supposed to.?XOXO...
