Most Popular Calendaring Application: Google Calendar [Hive Five Followup]

Alan Henry ? The best calendaring applications make it easy to add, manage, and remember appointments, so its no surprise the top five were all popular players. Last week we asked you which calendaring application you preferred when managing your appointments on your desktop. You answered, and we put the top five to a vote. Now we're back to highlight the winner.

Even though it's not technically a desktop calendaring app, most of you turn to Google Calendar when it comes to managing your appointments. It easily won the poll, bringing in over 51% of the vote. Microsoft Outlook and Apple iCal fought it out for second place, but Outlook edged ahead with 16.58% to iCal's 16.49%. Rainlendar came in fourth with 8.38% of the vote, and Thunderbird with the Lightning calendar plugin brought up the rear with 7.36% of the vote.
